Couple of weeks ago Kwong was in Bangkok and we decided to visit a new restaurant called "Wine I Love you" located at Crystal Design Center (CDC). During the day it's all about sophisticated furniture store like FENDI, Diane Burge, Rainbow Connection, Plato and many more. When the day turns into night, CDC transfrom itself into one of the most trendy hang-out spot for the young executives and the high society of Bangkok. Located on a corner lot, Wine I Love You is strategically placed in CDC compound.
With the same managing team from Club Route66 and Gulliver's Tavern Hotel, this can never go wrong when it comes to the ambience and service. I've always dream of having my own restaurant where people can dine and have an uptempo-relaxtion.... Wine I Love You has given me the kind of feeling I've always wanted when dining. You could easily imagine yourself in Paris or in New York without even trying hard. Its dark moody lighting, stylish interior and elegant music makes a perfect combination for people who seeks a little bit of admiration to the ambience when dining.
They have a good selection of wine and its simply fantastic. Simply browse around the cellar and pick a bottle of your desired choice. Yes, something like a buffet but instead, you are looking at wines. I love this concept because most restaurants simply hand you a wine menu.
And this is my choice... Always love Merlot, a little bit fruity and not too dry.
Food wise... The food here on the menu are mostly western and it has proved to pampered my taste bud very well. Its hard to design a menu with all the food that suits a Thai's taste. One thing I'm impressed is, every food they serve is carefully designed and a pinch of Thai consideration is added on to the taste. Here are some of the food that I've tried.
Spicy Salmon SliceFoie Gras with Carmalized Banana Bacon and Caramel Sauce
Seriously, all the food is good but the pot pie got me craving for more. The dough has a perfect crisp and the chicken chunks in the gravy is not overcooked. I have no idea how to explain this, you just have to try it yourself. We arrives at 9pm for dinner and was extremely straving. We finished about 10 dishes of different food in a very short time.

Now make sure you make a reservation before you go especially during the weekend. If you walked by and fancy for a table for dinner or drinks... forget it. The wait can be at least 2 hours until you get your share. No kidding.
