Savoury

Met up with Gibs for a quick lunch at Taling-Pling on Saturday. On google search engine, type "Taling-Pling" and you'll find lot's of reviews and comments about this restaurant. From Lonely Planet to Trip Advisor, I'm sure you can have all the information you want about this restaurant. They have a few branches around BKK and the one located at Paragon have a pretty stylish settings and outdoor patio. This branch at Paragon serve both authentic Thai and Western cusine. For sure Taling-Pling serves some decent Thai dishes with great taste but I was suprised that their western dishes taste good as well. Also a great place to rest after shopping, they have a wide variety of fancy drinks. Do stop by.

After You Dessert Cafe

This is one of the better hang-out place around Thonglor, especially when you have the urge for some sweetness high at night. They don't have a wide variety of desserts but they surely serve some of the best desserts in Bangkok. I have personally fallen for the shibuya honey toast at my very first bite. A bite of it can really put you to a good night sleep with a contented smile on your face. Strongly Recommended!

From The Top

Vertigo @ Banyan Tree Hotel
It is always a good treat to pamper yourself once in a while by sipping your favourite cocktail, wine or champagne on top of one of the highest building in Bangkok city. With some decent music being played around the bar while the hustling and bustling sound from the city's traffic echoes around you, this can be the best companion while you enjoy the view of the city.

A Different Angle

Rewind

When I was tidying up my office the other day I found some postcards and letters that I received during the first few years after I moved to Bangkok. I hardly remember I still keep them and who was the sender until I looked at it again and refreshed my memory. Most of the content is about warm wishes on special occasions and blessings for my new beginning in Bangkok.

One of the sender is my dear sister. Below is the greeting card I received from her about 4 years ago. A warm wishes to be paid.

Indulgence

In catholic theology, indulgence is the full or partial remission of temporal punishment due for sins which have been already forgiven. To me indulgence is gratification of desire. My favourite indulgence in a Japanese restaurant will be Hamachi, also known as yellow tail fish. With It's crispy skin and sweet meat that melts in your mouth, It is simply irresistible. A small portion like this can cost up to 1000Baht in an average restaurant in Bangkok.

Subdued

I used to hate it. The pinks irritates me. I never hold it. Because of one person's madness over this product from sanrio, I changed my point of view. Kitty reminds me about her.
