To Die For

On the top floor of Paradise Park there are tons of well decorated restaurant to choose from. Some of Bangkok's most well known franchises like the Coffee Bean by Dao is gathered at this particular place. Forgot to mention, Paradise Park is a decent mall where the area that I'm staying has to offer. Besides all the flashy restaurant it is also the hub for the boutiques of local fashion designers.
The name and the vintage decoration of a restaurant caught my attention and I decided to give it a try. The food on the menu is mainly fusion which is a common thing nowadays where western delight was given a touch of eastern flavor and vise versa. The service were surprisingly good, well mannered and knowledgeable staff.

Here's the food I've tried.
Lobster bisque with garlic bread. Another perfect combination.

Penne with meat balls and Thai sausage.

Yaam-woon-sen the must have Thai appetizer. Glass noodle salad with shrimp and squid.

Brownies with vanilla ice cream. One of my all time favorite dessert.

A Sudden Theory

Time really flies.. all of a sudden we are at the edge of May stepping in to a brand new June of 2011. Had some friends over here from Malaysia during the month and all was well. Drinks, foods and shops is the general thnigy like how it has always been. Some of my closest friends knew that besides all the fun part it was just a month with so much more at work for me. A very good friend of mine in Thailand was undergoing a massive emotional change, calling me most of time above the average rate. There I am roaming around with him in Bangkok food-ing ourselves and listening to what he has to say. Let's make his problem simple, saw an opportunity without believers.

Not an expert as a speaker but a well listener, something started to spins in my mind while borrowing him my ears. We all believe and see something that other might not agree or believe but only we ourselves can see it so clearly. Trying to convince a friend is always the hardest gesture when the negative part strikes them so hard. Me too sees opportunity (believing) in certain things but to some, they might think it is crazy just like a dog finding a rainbow.

Dogs are colorblind, they don't see colors just like us don't see time. We can feel time passing but we can't see it. For example, it's like a blur when you are riding on a supersonic train and the things you see outside the window is just blowing away. Imagine we could stop the train, get out, look around and see time for what it really is. Something as unimaginable as color to a dog and as real as seeing a small crack on a glass that no one else in the club bother to notice. It is the same theory as seeing an opportunity but the others just don't get it. That's all I, or some of us could discover sometimes . We all believe in something that no one else could see. We know that it will the best the thing that we could ever have. Just like a dog who saw a rainbow, only none of the other dogs believed.

Back to May...

The weather in Bangkok has been rather harsh. The temperature could rise sky high in the daytime and in return it gives you an unreasonable amount of rain falling down at night. Still prefer the rain over the heat. Ahhhh.. My birthday falls on next week! WOOT!
